This blog has been many things, but today it's a place for me to say THANK YOU to a very special person - Delilah - for giving me an enormously awesome xmas present - a PS 3.
First of all, I've been wanting one for a while, but had been unwilling to get one myself - I play WoW a lot on my Mac, and I have an Xbox360. But - I hadn't been playing the xbox.
But I also don't have an HD player of any kind. I have an apple TV, but that thing's playback is barely HD quality. It's definitely better than basic cable, and better than standard DVD.
But this PlayStation - wow. I am impressed with it's Blu-Ray player. The picture quality is amazing; except for a few times I'd been inside of a Best Buy or Fry's, I hadn't really seen much from BluRay - but wow - so nice - and the sound too - very impressive.
I will be trying out the games this week. For starters I got Tony Hawk's Project 8 and Uncharted2. More info on this when I get it

I love our ps3. I am HORRIBLE at video games, but I love the blue ray player. We've had ours almost a year now and the difference in the movies is marked. Also, just watching the video games is pretty too, even if I'm not playing them. Amazing graphics on some of those.
